Hon'ble Mr. Justice Mohan M.Shantanagoudar: Born on 05.05.1958. Enrolled as an Advocate on 05.09.1980. Practised for one year at Dharwad in the Chambers of Sri I.G. Hiregoudar, Advocate and then shifted practice to Bengaluru. Joined the Chambers of Sri Shivaraj Patil, advocate, as he then was, who later adorned the Chair of the Supreme Court of India. Started independent practice in the year 1984. Practised mainly in Civil, Criminal and Writ matters.
Served as Vice-Chairman of Karnataka State Bar Council from 1991 to 1993 and as Chairman of Karnataka State Bar Council in the years 1995 & 1996. Served as State Public Prosecutor of Karnataka State from 1999 to 2002.
Appointed as an Additional Judge of the Karnataka High Court on 12.05.2003 and as a Permanent Judge on 24.9.2004. He was the President of Bangalore Mediation Centre. Elevated as Chief Justice of Kerala High Court on 01.08.2016. Elevated as Supreme Court Judge on 17.02.2017
